The history of an iconic place

Since 1929, the Grand Hôtel Roi René has been an integral part of life in Aix-en-Provence. A privileged witness to its era, it welcomes travellers, artists and lovers of Provence into an atmosphere where elegance and hospitality have been passed down through the generations.

In 2026, following a complete transformation, the hotel will open a new chapter in its history and reinvent the Provençal art of living in the heart of the city.

Modern Design with Provençal Essence

Conceived by Fabien Roque, the Grand Hôtel Roi René offers a fresh take on Provence. Natural materials, terracotta and olive tones, handcrafted ceramics and Mediterranean light combine to create a warm and refined atmosphere.

Blending the heritage of Aix-en-Provence with contemporary design, each space invites guests to enjoy an authentic experience, inspired by the soul of Provence.
