Stories & Commitments

Unveil the timeless elegance of Hotel La Citadelle Metz

Opened in 2005, Hotel La Citadelle Metz-MGallery stands near Metz's historic heart. This grand military edifice, constructed in 1559 to secure Metz for King Henry II, now melds history with contemporary sophistication. Within its sober, uncluttered walls lie 78 rooms, including 2 suites, and La Réserve, a bistronomic restaurant. The essence of the past, preserved yet modern.

Distinctive design & experiences

From military might to refined sanctuary

Constructed in 1559 as the Magasin aux Vivres, this historic site served as a military storehouse, echoing Metz's fortitude.

Contemporary elegance with historical reverence

Renovated by Bâtiments de France, the hotel harmonises Jaumont stone, wood, glass, and steel. Chromatic harmonies of wenge, grey, and red, accented by Paul Flickinger's works.
