Samos International Airport (SMI) has year-round connections from Athens and seasonal flights from London, Amsterdam, Vienna and other European cities. A 20-minute drive from the hotel.

Blue Star Ferries sails from Piraeus to Vathy port, the harbour closest to the hotel. The crossing takes 8 to 12 hours, depending on the vessel and route. Up to three sailings per week in summer.

The airport is about 14 km south of Vathy. Taxis take around 20 minutes. Local buses run between the airport and Vathy several times daily on weekdays.

Ferries from Kusadasi reach Vathy port in 1-2 hours. Services run daily in summer, less frequently in spring and autumn.

Local Life

On Samos, the island that gave the world Pythagoras and the Muscat grape, time moves differently. Here, beaches, ancient stones and abundant tables draw you into a slower, more attentive rhythm.

  • Vathy and the Old Quarter

    Just a five-minute stroll from the hotel, Vathy’s harbour opens onto the town. Climb a little further and Ano Vathy, the old quarter, unfolds – neoclassical, sun-bleached, gloriously unchanged.

  • Samian Wine and the Muscat Trail

    The Muscat grape has been growing on terraced slopes here since antiquity, its storied history displayed in the fascinating Museum of Samos Wine next to the hotel. Inside Nirema, Curvus wine cellar offers glowing bottles and unhurried tastings.
